West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary
West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary (WLMA) has a rich history of supporting WLMH with volunteers that offer care and warmth to patient services as well as fundraising for hospital equipment.
West Lincoln Memorial Auxiliary is an incorporated charity, established in 1944 to serve and support West Lincoln Memorial Hospital. This dedicated group of volunteers celebrated their 75th Anniversary in 2019.
All volunteer services are managed and operated by volunteers. Over 160 devoted West Niagara members accumulated 28,000 hours of service in 2019. Volunteers provide support to both staff and patients in many areas of the hospital such as ward services, front desk, outpatient services, patient transport, prenatal tours, mail, therapeutic recreation service, and clerical assistants.
Volunteers operate the Gift Shop, Coffee Shop, Vendor Program and HELPP Ticket Program, the proceeds from these plus the fund raising efforts, which include Bake Sale, Strawberry Tea, Fashion Show, Craft Show, Poinsettia Sale, Soiree de Vin and of course Breakfast with Santa, all go towards the goal of purchasing medical equipment for the hospital.
